Experts from the offshore wind industry and associated institutions will meet once again in Bremerhaven.
The Wind Energy Agency Bremerhaven/Bremen (WAB) will hold its sixth conference on offshore wind power, WINDFORCE10 – DIRECTION OFFSHORE, in June 2010.
Alpha ventus, Germany's first five-megawatt offshore wind turbines, has been supplying power from the North Sea since 2009 and 2010. Construction on other German offshore wind farms began in 2009. These projects continue to face the serious practical challenges posed by transporting and installing turbines at sea. The logistics needed to meet the demands of the offshore industry will therefore be one of the major themes of the conference.
